The time needed for the drive between Houston and San Antonio is 3 hours.

However, construction frequently takes place on I-10 just out of Katy, and as you are near San Antonio so there can be delays especially during peak time.

We consider keeping 4 hours as safe drive time from Houston to San Antonio.

While there are not that many attraction sin Waller except for the Jellystone Park and the famous Dewberry Farms, the area is bursting with wildflowers in spring.
