Viewing Tower

The Center is famed for its Five-Story Watch Tower. This towering structure rises high above the wetlands and offers birds eye views of the surrounding area all the way to Laguna Madre. Its white washed wooden frame stands tall and sturdy – an icon of the island. The viewing tower invites visitors to climb its steps and witness the island’s beauty from a different perspective.

Taking in the view from the top of the tower is a delight. The wetlands stretch out all around you, a mosaic of emerald green and shimmering water. The wetlands serve as a natural filter for the water, purifying it for both the residents and the marine life. In the distance, the Laguna Madre sparkles under the morning sun.
